About the Department

The Department of Metallurgical Engineering, established in 1964, has been dedicated to training diploma engineers for the metallurgical and manufacturing industries. As one of the core branches of engineering, Metallurgical Engineering is crucial for the extraction, processing, and development of metals and materials used in a wide range of industries, including automotive, aerospace, power, and manufacturing.

The three-year diploma course is designed to meet current industrial requirements by combining classroom learning with hands-on workshop experience. Our graduates are equipped with the skills needed to build successful careers in major steel plants, automotive industries, and core manufacturing sectors.

With a team of experienced faculty members and strong links to local foundries and steel industries, the department continues to maintain an excellent track record in both campus placements and academic performance.
